Nadia and Carol
Nadia Comaneci is a Romanian gymnast (born on the 12th of November, 1961 at Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej (now Onesti] Romania). She was the first gymnast to score a perfect 10 during an Olympic event. Bela Karrolyi was the Romanian gymnastics instructor, who later became Comaneci's coach, first discovered Comaneci aged six. Comaneci competed for the first time in the 1969 national junior championships, placing 13th. The following year she won the title of champion. She won three golds in her first competition in a junior pre-Olympic meeting in 1972 that was held by communist bloc countries. In 1973 and 1974 she won the junior all-round champion. In her very first competition at the senior level, Lyudmila Turkishcheva of Russia won five gold medals as well as one silver. She took home the American Cup in New York City in 1976 and became the first woman in history to complete a backward double salto as an unmounting from uneven bars parallel to each other. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. She started her career in the entertainment industry in her teens in which she was a part of a figure skating duo with the sibling Nina Wayne for the travelling entertainment program Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne is a US citizen born September 6 1942 in Chicago Illinois. Carol entered the entertainment industry when she was in her teens. She started her career performing figure skating along with Nina Wayne, her younger sister, in the traveling entertainment programs Ice Capades. Ice Capades showcased performances of ice-skating with actors.
